Medics have been called to the set of the ‘Twilight’ movies to help fans who are overcome by star sightings.

In what sound like scenes remiscent of the early days of Frank Sinatra or the Beatles, young people (the majority of which are probably girls)  are going nuts and losing their breath over hunks of burning love Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Talking with Interview magazine, Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the ‘Twilight’ vampire series, says “We’ve met many different fans: the criers, who come around quite often; the hyperventilators, who stop breathing and have to have a medic come. We’ve definitely seen some passion.”

The 17 year old also says the fans are “very intense…I like meeting them. But, yeah, they’re pretty intense. Sometimes it becomes a little overwhelming.”
