Los Angeles based comedian TJ Miller went to great lengths to land a role in Warner Bros’ ‘Yogi Bear’ movie.
Miller, who has a role on the TV series ‘Carpoolers’ and appeared in the film ‘Cloverfield’ went through two unsuccessful auditions for the pic, which stars Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake, before taking things to a whole other level, according to Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood blog.
Miller enlisted the help of Bambam, a grizzly bear at the Hollywood Animal Ranch and shot a very funny video. Bambam proves to be more interested in eating the script and some proffered marshmallows than in helping Miller land the gig, but in the end, all went well. Studio boss Alan Horn and producer Donald De Line saw the footage, says Finke, and offered him the part of Ranger Smith in the film. Miller is now in New Zealand shooting.
